Privacy Policy

Anchor is a Bible study tool. You trust us with your spiritual questions. We take that seriously. This policy is written in plain English because you deserve to understand it.

What we collect

  • Your email address — to create your account and send you a magic link to log in. If you opt in, we also use it to send the daily verse email.
  • Your conversations — stored in your own account so you can return to them. Only you can see them.
  • Your bookmarks — stored in your account.
  • Basic usage data — we count how many questions you ask per day (for the free tier limit). We do not log the content of your questions in analytics tools.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data. Not now. Not ever. Not to anyone.
  • We do not log your questions in analytics or tracking tools. Your questions exist only in your own conversation history.
  • We do not use ad trackers on authenticated pages. No Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag inside the app.
  • We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
  • We do not share your data with third parties except the services needed to run the app (Supabase for the database, Stripe for billing, Resend for email).

Your data, your control

You can export all your data (conversations, bookmarks) as a JSON file from your settings page at any time.

You can delete your account and all associated data with one click from your settings page. When you delete your account, everything is gone — conversations, bookmarks, usage records. We do not keep copies.

Payments

If you subscribe to Anchor Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment security.

Analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular). We strip personally identifiable information from analytics data. We do not track individual users across sessions.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will notify you by email and update this page. We will never make your data less private retroactively.
